OUR VISION
We exist to be a biblical community where the gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives, renews the city, and impacts the world.

Our mission is to provide a place where people can come and plant their lives, to grow and be what God intended through Jesus Christ our Lord.

OUR HISTORY
Lighthouse Baptist Church began in 1995 with an emphasis on mission and evangelism. As we grew the foundational elements of LHBC, this emphasis was woven into each aspect of our ministry. Our goal is for each member to have the opportunity to participate in a mission endeavor, either by being involved in one of our local opportunities or by participating with our regional partners on projects of a greater scope and reach. The heart beat of LHBC is to be a ministering force in our community, providing help and comfort to those in need. The life-blood of the church is the presentation of the gospel of Christ to individuals not only by our lips, but also through a life of service. It is the goal for each member to be able to share with individuals the plan of salvation whether at home, on the job or in the community.
OUR CHURCH COVENANT
The Church Covenant details our relationship together and has with it a general foundation of belief. We are a Southern Baptist church and our doctrinal statements derive from the Southern Baptist Convention Baptist Faith and Message. Although we adhere to the doctrinal statements of the Baptist Faith and Message, our ultimate authority is the Holy Scriptures. Our desire is to grow in the understanding and application of the Word of God. Therefore, we put the highest priority on the teaching and learning of the Scriptures.
OUR LEAD PASTOR
Brother Randy Watts is the lead pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church and strives to demonstrate his passion for this community through daily interaction and service projects.
Married since 1986, Brother Randy and his wife, Miranda, live in Toney, AL, and have three sons, Andrew, Jonathan and Peter.
...and a spoiled Maltese, Lutze.

Please join us on April 28, 2024 at 10:00 am for a wonderful downhome service. Garrett Miles and Michael Curtis will be performing as the worship service.
Fellowship will immediately follow with hamburgers, hot dogs and other fixins' being served. Bring your tractor, wear your overalls, and ladies wear your favorite bonnet!!

Garrett Miles (Bio)
The story of Garrett Miles is inspiring and real. Blind from birth, he has the God-given talent of music that most only dream about. Since his youth, music has driven him to not only overcome his misfortune, but he uses it as a way to knock down barriers and bring joy to others. After being told he may have a learning disability, He show them they were wrong.
He even turned down the Alabama School for the Blind, attended his local schools and graduated with Honors.
Garrett lives on his own today and despite being visually impaired, is a pretty Independent man.
How good is Garrett musically? He has opened for the likes of George Jones, Ray Price, Tracy Lawrence, Blake Shelton and many more. He had the honor of being a performer at the first annual Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach, Florida in 2013.
In 2015 competed and made it to Hollywood on American Idol. The judges said his voice was truly unique and his own. He speaks and sings in Spanish as well and got to do a brief song for Jennifer Lopez in his American Idol Audition.
He recently just did a tribute for one of his friends and heroes, the Legendary Randy Travis.
Garrett is truly an Alabama treasure; with talent that some believe will put him right up there with the Country Music Icons.
And after years of hard work and preparation, All who believe in Garrett believe NOW is his time.
Stars may have fallen on Alabama, but they shine on Garrett Miles.
Michael Curtis (Bio)

Musician, Performing Artist, Worship Leader
Singer, songwriter, producer, recording engineer, scout and cultivator of new talent.
Originally signed to ASCAP by Bob Doyle, long-time manager for Garth Brooks, Michael Curtis began his musical career in earnest in Nashville in 1982. An accomplished performer and recording artist in his own right, Curtis has written and produced songs reaching across musical genres for numerous Grammy award-winning artists such as Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Lee Ann Womack, Randy Travis, Ricky Skaggs, Collin Raye, Shenandoah, The Martins, Gordon Mote and many others.
Mitch Peyser, Vice President and Executive Producer for Time Life, with whom Curtis maintains a long-term relationship describes Curtis as “. . . an extraordinary talented producer, songwriter and musician who understands how to put a quality production together. OUR COMMUNITY
Public Services & Schools
The Toney Volunteer Fire Department and the Madison County Sheriff's Department provide fire and police services in the Toney area.
A post office is located in the community near the intersection of Toney Road and Pulaski Pike.
Toney is part of the Madison County school district. Two of the system's schools are in Toney:
Madison Cross Roads (grades K-5)
Sparkman Middle (grades 6-8).
Toney students in grades 9-12 go to Sparkman High School in nearby Harvest.
Toney once had its own school at the corner of Jeff Road and Toney Road, but the school is no longer in existence.

Limestone Creek flows through the community, which is just a few miles south of its source in Lincoln County, Tennessee, before flowing into Limestone County.
